The Florida Region of the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) will be back in action this weekend at Palm Beach International Raceway’s two-mile, 11 turn road course in Jupiter, Fla.
Since 1944, the SCCA’s mission is to bring motorsports to the masses of American men and women who are passionate about automobiles, speed and competition. Whether you’re an amateur or a hard-core road racer, the action the SCCA provides is like no other.
This particular weekend at PBIR includes a point’s race towards the South Atlantic Road Racing Championship. John Zuccarelli, Regional Executive for the Florida Region of the SCCA, is expecting one of the most attended weekends of the year.
More than 150 cars in multiple classes will be lapping around PBIR’s unique road course.
“It’s a great spectator event, PBIR has great viewing areas along the track,†said Zuccarelli. “For motorsports enthusiasts, the SCCA event at the beautiful Palm Beach International Raceway is one of the best kept secrets. Everyone should come out and attend.â€
Gates open at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for SCCA racing action. Admission for one day is $20 or a special two day pass is available for $35. |
