EDMONTON, Alberta  - - Palm Beach International Raceway's Richard Philippe stood upon the podium Saturday after a runner-up finish in the Firestone Indy Lights Grand Prix of Edmonton race.

The rookie driver started on the front row for the first time in his career after earning the outside pole. Piloting the No. 37 Dallara, Philippe maintained his position for the 40-lap race. After multiple attempts to over take the race leader, Philippe tied his season high with the second place finish.

"I'm as happy as I can be with finishing second," stated Philippe. "We've come a long way with the Palm Beach International Raceway car. I need to thank the team because they brought their ‘A' game. I've been trying to push them a lot to get to the front and here we are splitting two AGR cars, so we're doing something right."

Driver of the No. 35 Team PBIR car, Charlie Kimball earned his second top-five-finish this season at Edmonton City Centre Airport.

Kimball qualified sixth on the 1.973-mile street circuit. Kimball maintained his position throughout the race. On Lap 38, Kimball made a run on the No. 21 gaining track position. Kimball crossed the finish line in the fifth position.

"I am really impressed with the level of commitment from our team," stated Kane Williams, Vice President of Motorsports for Team PBIR. "The team put a lot of effort into setting up the car right and the drivers performed this weekend. The teams are coming together and the success shows."
