“This is one of the biggest karting events of the year, so we wanted to get the word everywhere right away that team entry forms are available,” said Steve Lewis, producer of the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. “In the past, we have gotten the best of the best as competitors for the kart race at the PRI Trade Show, so we’re getting the entire karting segment of motorsports involved in the process!”

The kart race will be held on Thursday night, December 1, in Orlando, in conjunction with the PRI Trade Show, which is the largest racing trade show in the world.

Stars from NASCAR, IndyCar, ALMS, NHRA, Grand-Am and more come to the world’s largest racing trade show to compete in the popular kart race in Orlando, Florida. The race course is a tight, technical, purpose-built race track adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center, housing the 700,000 square feet PRI Trade Show. Over 40,000 racing business people from 65 countries arrive in Orlando each December for the PRI Trade Show to view the latest advances in racing technology by 1,100 racing companies.

Past competitors in the All Star division of the kart race at the PRI Trade Show include Indy 500 winners Dan Wheldon and Buddy Rice, Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray, current Indy 500 winner as a team owner Bryan Herta, 2011 Indy 500 pole position winner Alex Tagliani, NHRA Funny Car star Ron Capps, Top Fuel star Antron Brown and F1 star Vitantonio Liuzzi.

Young racing stars of tomorrow have competed in the Karters division, including Josef Newgarden, Conor Daly and Joel Miller, now in Indy Lights; Michael Lewis, now in Formula 3 Italia; and Gary Carlton, now a factory pilot in Europe for Zanardi Kart.

The winner of the Karter division race will receive a VIP experience courtesy of Red Bull at the 2012 US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

Red Bull is promoting the event at 10 kart tracks in the southeastern United States, where drivers will be able to set a lap time and compete for a spot in a Consumer Race event, to take place in between the All-Star and Karter division action. The winning driver will receive coaching from Red Bull Athlete Cole Whitt, currently a front runner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

2. Set a time to come set your lap time, or better yet, purchase one of our Red Bull Packages to include schools/coaching to improve your time.

3. There will be a daily race and weekly winners based on fast time.

4. A monthly RUN-OFF will be held in September, October and November with the TOP 4 spots to move into a Thanksgiving Weekend RACE to declare the winner!
