Quarter-Mile Test and Tune
Wednesday, May 11 at 6pm
Palm Beach International Raceway hosts the weekly Wednesday Test and Tune. Held on PBIR’s all-concrete drag strip, the Test and Tune is open to all makes and models. Bring your favorite drag car to PBIR and see what it can run in the quarter-mile. Gates open at 6pm. Test and Tune entry is $25, crew and spectator prices are $10 and children 12 and under are free.
Midnight Madness
Friday, May 13 at 6pm
The fifth installment of the 2011 Midnight Madness at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) is scheduled to hit the track this Friday, May 13 from 6pm-1am. In a two-fold event, test and tuners take to PBIR’s quarter-mile drag strip while amateur drifters help transform PBIR’s road course into a drifting circuit. Drag racers looking for the ultimate challenge can participate in the ‘Beat the Heat’ segment of the test and tune. Bring your favorite street machine to PBIR and challenge a police officer in the Beat the Heat Challenge. The program is dedicated to keep racing on the strip and off the streets. Drifting entry is $50; Test and Tune entry is $25. Spectator and crew prices for Midnight Madness are $10 and children 12 and under are free.
SCCA Regional/National Event
Saturday, May 14 & Sunday, May 15
The Florida Region Sports Car Club of America makes its second appearance at Palm Beach International Raceway in 2011 this weekend. The double SARRC (South Atlantic Road Racing Championship) & Vintage Races will take place on May 14-15 from 8am-5pm. Two days of points races in the SARRC and a collection of vintage sports cars will highlight the track activity. Gates open at 7am. One-day spectator ticket is $10; two-day spectator tickets are $15 and children 12 and under are free.
