ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - - Team PBIR Firestone Indy Lights drivers Charlie Kimball and Jay Howard drove their No. 35 and No. 37 cars respectively to four top-10 finishes in the season-opener doubleheader races at the Streets of St. Petersburg.

Race 1 of the 2009 Firestone Indy Lights Series occurred on Saturday, April 4. Kimball qualified his No. 35 car in the 12th position on the grid. Driver of the No. 37 car, Jay Howard started 8th. After 40 laps of competition, Kimball pulled across the finish line 10th and Howard earned 5th. 

The second race of the 2009 season kicked off on Sunday, April 5. Kimball started the race 18th and Howard 10th. Both drivers were able to pick up spots by the time the checkered flag waved on Lap 40. Kimball finished 7th and Howard finished 8th.

After two of 15 races in the series, Kimball is ninth in the 2009 Championship Points Standings and Howard is fifth. The next race is April 19 at the Streets of Long Beach.
