The Palm Beach Driving Club pro Shane Lewis and member Mitch Pagerey both competed in the 58th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida.
The 12 hours of Sebring is considered as a training race for the 24 hour LeMans race later in the year.
The group of driving club member Mitch Pagerey and his teammates Brian Wong and David Ducote started in grueling 12-hour match in the 12th spot overall and 4th in the Prototype Challenge class.
Club pro Shane Lewis and teammates Jerry Vento and Lawson Aschenbach had to start in the rear of the field because of a tire change.
Lewis and company finished the Grand Touring Class in the fifth position and placed 23rd overall out of 34 cars. Pagerey landed in the 30th spot overall and fifth in their class after mechanical issues.
Guy Cosmo, an associate of the Palm Beach Driving Club, finished an impressive 13th overall and 6th in the Grand Touring 2 class.
Lewis, Pagerey and Cosmo all race at Palm Beach International Raceway’s 2 mile, 11 turn road course in association with the Palm Beach Driving Club.
