The top nitro burning teams in the Pro Drag Racing world have been smashing the atmosphere for three days in clandestine silence and are now ready to show their wares to the public at Palm Beach International Raceway tonight and Saturday night.

While the early week closed test session has been a time to experiment and try new ideas, the end of the week marks the literal beginning of the 2012 season for all of the crews on hand at PBIR. Instead of trying new and innovative ideas the teams will be running their competition tune ups that will see action at the season opener in a scant couple of weeks.

While the Winternationals may be the first "official" race of the season, fans in Florida will get the best sneak peek in the nation when they watch these teams hammer on one another at 300mph on Friday and Saturday evening in Palm Beach. Each night will feature two sessions of pure nitro action, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. This is the only time any fan of drag racing will see a "pure" nitro show at any venue in the world.

The guns are loaded and the fuel barrels have been delivered. All that's left is for you to get yourself to the track or to tune into the live streaming broadcast on BangShift.com.

Adult single day advanced tickets are $20/Friday $25/Saturday, children 6-12 years are $10 and children 5 and under are free.  At the gate Adult single day tickets will be $25/Friday $30/Saturday, children 6-12 years will be $10 and children 5 and under will be free.
