2020 IHRA Summit SuperSeries Race 1 Results

JUPITER, Fla. — The 2020 IHRA Summit SuperSeries began December 7, with five winners taking home wins at Palm Beach International Raceway.
Andrew Reaves from Lake Worth, Fla., captured the win in the Top (Box) division by defeating Randy Leavy from West Palm Beach, Fla. Reaves powered down the track in 4.708 seconds and 146.11 mph after a .005 reaction time. Leavy went down the track in 4.561 second at 147.73 mph and a .013 reaction time.
Larry Doty from Margate, Fla., took the Mod (No Box) win over Pat Tucci from Loxahatchee, Fla. Doty had a .015 reaction time along with a 9.143 elapsed time at 65.58 mph run. Tucci went down the track in 7.049 seconds at 98.11 mph coupled with a .052 reaction time
The Junior Dragster race saw Raul Meza from Hollywood, Fla., put forth a winning combination of 7.932 seconds and 80.34 mph with a -.029-reaction time. Runner-up and #1 qualifier Chase Purdy from Palm City, Fla., went down the track in 7.935 seconds at 80.94 mph after a -.031 start.
Danny Wood from Lake Worth, Fla., was the Sportsman winner with a winning pass of 11.963 seconds and 113.17 mph along with a -.017-reaction time. Larry Doty from Lake Worth, Fla., went 14.494 second and 92.61 mph with a -.005 start on his final-round run.
David O’Bryon from Naples, Fla., captured the win over John Taylor from Naples, Fla., in the Quick 16 Door Car class. O’Bryon went down the track in 4.979 second at 139.47 mph with a .010 reaction time.  Taylor was .028 at the line and made a 4.851 second run at 139.04 mph.
