JUPITER, FL – March 11, 2011 – Experience some of the world’s fastest sport compact drag racing cars during Round 1 of the National Sport Compact Racing Association (NSCRA) on Sunday, March 13 at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR).
Competition covers the PBIR facility this weekend - from the sport compact cars battling on the race track to a 20-class car show that showcases some of the hottest import and domestic cars and bikes. When the competition isn’t on track or in the car show, dozens of beautiful females will compete in the Hot Body Contest/NSCRA Model Search Competition, hosted by Jessica Barton.
“Last year we had a great racer and fan turnaround for the NSCRA event at Palm Beach International Raceway,” said Chris McMahan, Director of Race Operations, PBIR. “We’re looking forward to another great race this weekend since the NSCRA racers always put on a good show for the fans, both on- and off- the race track.”
“Mobil 1: The Grid” will be at Palm Beach International Raceway on site filming attend Round 1 of the NSCRA season opener, conducting interviews with some of the series’ top performers and giving race fans an in-depth look at the NSCRA. “Mobil 1: The Grid” is aired on SPEED in the United States and broadcast in 25 languages worldwide. Participant prices for March 13 NSCRA are: Extreme/Modified Company - $100; Hot Rod/Pro Stock/Outlaw Street/True Street - $65; Index 10.5/11.5/12.5/13.5 - $45; Test and Tune - $35. VIP Parking is $35; Car show - $35; Crew - $20. Spectator prices are $20 for adults and children 12 and under are free. Gates open at 8am and first round of qualifying starts at 10am.
