We also offer in-depth comprehensive programs to help educate enthusiast and competitors on the many facets of drag racing. Nelson Hoyos™ (download his bio here ) experience in the sport of drag racing will allow students to learn from someone who has had success as a driver in the sport. Ride & Drives courses reservations available at Palm Beach International Raceway every Wednesday Noon-4pm, Nights 6-11pm, Friday 6-11pm and select events on Saturday. All licensing courses are available Wednesday 9am-4pm

Our most popular program, learn to drive a Super Comp Dragster

This course allows anyone to experience the thrill of driving a racecar on the track. Receive professional instruction and coaching while you drive a Super Comp Dragster on our track. Great start to learn the “Basics of Drag Racing”. Courses offered every Thursday 4pm-10pm and limited reservations available for Wednesday & Friday during PBIR’s Test & Tune nights. We start with a short instruction explaining the principles of Drag Racing and various techniques on high speed car control. Next we put you behind the wheel of our competition rear engine dragsters to familiarize you with the cockpit & racing procedures, then the fun begins challenging you with (4) progressively faster runs in the 1/8 mile.

The Super Series curriculum used in these courses have been carefully designed to accommodate novice & veteran racers. This course includes classroom instruction, progressively faster runs down the track and review of your runs. After your successful completion of this course you could earn your IHRA or NHRA Competition Driver's License.

The Top Dragster & Top Sportsman curriculum is designed to accommodate experienced racers looking to harness the explosive power and acceleration of these low 7 second machines. The program concentrates on driving techniques and progressively faster runs down the track with review of each run to maximize your progress. After your successful completion of this course you could earn your IHRA or NHRA Top Dragster or Top Sportsman Competition Driver's License.
